NOTICE OF
MOTION HONOUR

On Wednesday 5 August 2026, RENATA ART DESIGN along with artist Basia Zielinska and Consul Mariusz Stus representing the Consulate General of Poland in Sydney were honoured with a Legislative Council Notice of Motion at Parliament of NSW by the Hon. Robert Borsak MLC from the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party acknowledging our contribution to bringing “Sydney Through a Migrant’s Palette” to Parliament House.

The motion stated:
(1) That this House notes that:
 
(a) on Tusday 4 August 2026, the Hon. Robert Borsak MLC hosted the official opening of the exhibition “Sydney Through the Artist’s Palette” by Polish-Australian artist Basia Zielińska at New South Wales Parliament House;
 
(b) this exhibition is a historic milestone, being the first solo exhibition by a Polish-Australian artist to be showcased at New South Wales Parliament House open from 04 August to 27 August 2026 at the Fountain Court;
 
(c) the event was attended by the President of the Legislatvie Council Hon. Ben Franklin MLC, Hon. Mark Banasiak MLC and Consul Mariusz Stus representing the Consulate General of Poland in Sydney.
 
(2) That this House acknowledges Basia Zielińska’s outstanding artistic contribution in capturing the beauty and character of Sydney through her distinctive artistic vision, while celebrating the rich cultural heritage she brings as a member of the Polish-Australian community in New South Wales.
 
(3) That this House recognises the important contribution of Renata Brak, founder and director of Renata Art Design, whose dedication, vision and professional representation of the artist were instrumental in bringing this exhibition to the New South Wales Parliament House and in promoting Polish-Australian art within the broader cultural landscape of New South Wales.
 
(4) That this House congratulates Basia Zielińska on this achievement and extends best wishes for her continued artistic success.
