RIVER OF LIFE

While exploring the subject of migration and it’s challenges, the monumental painting “River of Life” explores through the use of vibrant red, blue and amber colour, as well as gestural movements, the themes of energy; strength; power; action; determination; passion; desire; and love. The artist pays tribute to the strength and solidarity of a collective people.

Basia Zielinska

Basia Zielinska (b. 1947 Leer) is a Sydney-based abstract artist of Polish heritage. Her body of work responds intuitively and emotionally to fragments of memories, as well as images of internal and external landscapes. Basia has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions, and in 2017 held her first solo exhibition at the ME Art Gallery. She was invited by the Polish Consulate in Sydney to exhibit her oeuvre. Basia has been a finalist and recipient of multiple Art Prizes, and her works can be found in many private collections internationally.
