A special PolArt Sydney 2022 public program held on Friday 30 December at Cooee Art Gallery. Guests were able to discover their Polish ancestry and connect with other organisations who could assist them unlock their heritage. Polaron’s very own Founder and Director Eva Hussain was the facilitator of this event.

In this interactive session, they explored:
– Where to begin when researching your own family history
– Storytelling as a way to explore your family heritage
– Documents available in Australian and Polish archives

TALK FACILITATOR

Eva Hussain

Eva is a prominent expert in the fields of language services and European citizenship. She is the founder of Polaron and plays an active role in the global development of the company. Eva is a certified practicing translator and interpreter, as well as an examiner and a member of NAATI’s Regional Advisory Council. She is a member of various networks and boards, including Victorian Refugee Health Network, Southern Homelessness Services Network and the Association of Polish Jews. Winner of several business and equity awards, in March 2022, Eva was appointed as Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Austria in Victoria.
